Agency Silkscreen Sunscreen : Before and After
I found the Agency silkscreen sunscreen extremely lightweight, sheer and extremely nice to touch. It was not the least bit tacky, sticky or thick. It felt like velvet.
The coverage evened out my skin tone (including my hyperpigmentation) and it felt lightweight.

I am a Fitzpatrick skin type 3 with cool undertones and it worked great with my skin.
However, here are some things you NEED TO KNOW BEFORE PURCHASING:
First, if you are looking for a “healthier, clean” sunscreen, mineral sunscreens are the way to go.
Unlike chemical sunscreens that get absorbed into the skin, and your liver and kidneys have to filter that out.
Mineral sunscreens sit ON TOP of the skin…unless you are using a micronized zinc oxide, which may be nanoparticles that can be small enough to enter the skin through an opening or inhaled.
There is no such thing as a “clean sunscreen”. All sunscreens have some form of silicones, plasticizers and emulsifiers that can be harmful to the environment or to humans. It is a matter of what is important to you.
In order to create a “sheer”, lightweight mineral based sunscreen, most formulations will add different ingredients to create an airy, velvety, light, non greasy feel to the touch.
Agency Silkscreen Sunscreen Ingredients:
Here are the ingredients of the Agency Silkscreen sunscreen (as of this writing):
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Water, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Undecane, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Isododecane, Dimethicone, Mica, Polysilicone-11, Tridecane, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Sodium Chloride, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Alumina, Propanediol, Iron Oxide (CI 77492), Magnesium Stearate, Jojoba Esters, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bisabolol, Propylene Carbonate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Niacinamide, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Laureth-12, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Iron Oxides (Black, CI 77499), Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Iron Oxides (CI77499)
PROS:
-Color is extremely flattering
-Sheer
-Lightweight
-Velvety smooth, airy
-NOT TACKY
-Wrinkle blurring (light diffusion) * See it in the video in natural day light.
Some silicones include:
Polymethylsilsesquioxane (INCI name: PSQ) – Gives light diffusion gives the product a wrinkle blurring effect. Improves the look and feel of the formula. This ingredients can be found in hair care, skin care and especially sunscreen products. It is extremely cost effective because you don’t need a lot of this. A little goes a long way.
A little concerning, given that it is the fourth ingredient from the top. Particle size is 4-6 microns
Dimethicone
Dimethicone Crosspolymer
Polysilicone-11-Silicone elastomer- film forming agent. This gives products a smooth, velvety finish, almost always accompanies other silicone.
Alumina– is another word for Aluminum Oxide. Typically they use this to coat the titanium oxide or as a pigment carrier to help spread the pigment evenly on the skin. This does rate higher for allergies and immunotoxicity for humans.
According to the website, some of the feature benefits of this sunscreen has ingredients such as sodium hyaluronate, niacinamide, and licorice root extract.
However, I am disappointed to see how low on the list they are.
Sodium hyaluronate was listed as number 37.
Niacinamide was listed as number 32 on the ingredients list.
Licorice Root Extract was listed number 39…2nd to the last ingredient on the entire list.
What I loved about the Agency Silkscreen Sunscreen:
-Sheer, lightweight, non tacky
-color
-Mineral based sunscreen
-Wrinkle blurring effect
What I wish would be better….
Agency skin care really has listened to the feedback of consumers wanting a lightweight, non greasy, non tacky feeling mineral sunscreen that feels really nice that delivers amazing color.
If you are someone who does NOT CARE what is in the product and care about what it feels like, what it smells like, and how it looks…..this is your sunscreen.
In order to deliver a sheer, light weight, airy , velvety feeling, non greasy mineral sunscreen that delivers amazing color, this would be near impossible to formulate using completely natural ingredients. Silicone, plasticizers, and emulsifiers are what creates this amazing feeling.
So if you are looking for less synthetic ingredients, this may not be the sunscreen for you.
Full Disclosure:
This is NOT A SPONSORED POST. Agency skin care is a branch of Curology skin care. Curology focuses more on acne treatments and Agency focuses on Anti aging Treatments.
The key feature of Agency Skin care is that you get all the same network of dermatologists but the amount of tretinoin being used can be customized for your skin.
If you are a member of curology and would like to switch to Agency skin care, you can contact them at: hello@withagency.com
I do NOT use Agency nor Curology since their skin care revolves around using Tretinoin. Since I have hyerpigmentation and I am allergic to tretinoin, Retin A and Retinol, I cannot use their skin care.
I have not been paid nor am I receiving any compensation or commissions from this company. I did receive the sunscreen as a gift . They did not ask me to post anything on social media.
I decided to do a Agency Silkscreen Sunscreen product review since so many people are searching for sheer, tinted mineral based sunscreen and this is a way to check out the color and how it looks on video.
