Daily Cleanser as a Make Up Remover?

According to the product box, it states that it works as a brightening cleanser, toner and make up remover.

This can be used as a make up remover if you use this as the directions state on the box:

Apply on dry skin and massage and rub gently in a circular motion.

Rub with warm water.

Gently Pat dry.

However if you are using this as a cleanser, it works better when your hands and skin are moist. It foams quite well for not using any sulphates. See video for demonstration.

Foaming agents used:

Capyrl Glucoside

Lauryl Glucoside

Both sugar based surfactants

Derma Doctor Kakadu C Brightening Daily Cleanser as a Daily Toner

It does contain witch hazel which is the 7th ingredient on the list so it does have astringent qualities . In addition to witch hazel, it also has alcohol, denatured alcohol and Benzyl Alcohol (more used as a preservative) . So it may be drying and probably not the best cleanser for dry skin types or conditions.

I would recommend a separate hydrating mist that increases hydration levels on the skin vs using a two in one product.

The hydrating ingredients in the cleanser are:

Aloe

Glycerin

Sodium Hyaluronate

Exfoliating Ingredients used:

-Lactic Acid

-Malic Acid

Both gentle AHAs. The Malic Acid molecule is larger so it is not as harsh as other AHAs such as glycolic acid. This is probably better for more sensitive skin types to be used as an exfoliating cleanser but NOT for people looking for an exfoliating cleanser. Acne skin types and will NOT find that this will work to clear skin.

***Please use sunscreen with this cleanser.***

You STILL need an exfoliating product if you want exfoliation. The Derma Doctor Kakadu C Brightening Daily Cleanser does not have enough exfoliating properties and this is why it is gentle enough to use as a daily cleanser.

Does the Derma Doctor Kakadu C Brightening Daily Cleanser Lighten Age Spots or Hyperpigmentation?

Like most cleansers that mention lightening and brightening benefits, they may help BOOST the lightening and brightening properties of lightening and brightening serums and lotions/creams.

HOWEVER, since the cleanser does NOT stay long enough on the skin, this cleanser nor any other cleanser will be enough to actually lighten age spots and hyperpigmentation.
