Image Clear Cell Cleanser Product Review

IMAGE SKIN CARE CLEANSER-WHAT SKIN TYPE IS IT FOR?

The Image Clear Cell Cleanser is a gel based foaming cleanser suitable for oily, combination oily, and acne grades 1 and 2.  May not be suitable for dry, dehydrated, sensitive skin.  This also includes Rosacea, Psoriasis, Eczema and anyone using Retin-A regularly.

If your skin is inflamed, red and blotchy, and reactive, this is not your cleanser.

The product has a fresh clean scent that smells slightly of mint and tea tree.

If you have mostly blackheads, red bumps, and red bumps with pus (pustules) , and oily skin.  This is an ideal cleanser.

IMAGE CLEAR CELL CLEANSER KEY INGREDIENTS:

The Image Clear Cell Salicylic Acid Cleanser contains a 5% blend of Salicylic Acid (BHA exfoliator) and Neem leaf extract (purifying botanical).  This helps exfoliate the dead skin cells and eliminates excess oil.

Tea Tree Oil- This acts as a purifying botanical.

Oligopeptide-10, Boswellia Serrata Extract, and honey extract- Reduces Blemish count and Purifying Botanical.  The Boswellia Serrata extract also helps reduce inflammation.

Arnica montana and Horse chestnut also reduces redness.

Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract also reduces inflammation and calms the skin.

IMAGE CLEAR CELL CLEANSER- BEST WAY TO USE:

The Image Clear Cell Cleanser  can also be mixed with the Ageless Resurfacing Masque to increase the exfoliating properties of the cleanser.  I recommend combining the two if you don’t have time to use it separately  or if you have not used the Ageless Resurfacing Masque alone and are not sure if you can tolerate the acidity of the mask.

The Image Clear Cell Cleanser can also be used with another cleanser of your skin tends to get dry easily when using other acne control related products.

For example, you can use a another balancing gel based cleanser (such as the Ormedic Balancing Cleanser) for the first cleanse to break down oil, grime, make up and sunscreen, then on the 2ND CLEANSE, when you are actually cleansing the skin, you can use the Image Clear Cell Salicylic cleanser.

If you have no idea what the 2nd cleanse means , this article will explain the CORRECT ORDER OF HOW TO USE PRODUCTS ON YOUR FACE.

IMAGE CLEAR CELL CLEANSER or CLEANSING OIL?

If you have very oily skin and/or you wear heavy make up, you can first use a cleansing oil to break down the oil.

Remember, oils breaks down oil.  Oil repels water so if you have very oily skin and/or wear heavy make up AND you don’t have a lot of break outs, you can use a cleansing oil to initially break down the oil, grime, sunscreen and make up and then AFTER the excess oil and products have been broken down on your skin, your can cleanse on the 2nd CLEANSE with Image Clear Cell Cleanser.

If you have more than Grade 1 or 2 acne and you need to use additional acne products such as medicated lotion, or spot treatment,  especially from the Image Clear Cell line, I would suggest using the balancing cleanser along with the Image Clear Cell cleanser, using a Hyaluronic Serum as your moisturizer and then use a spot treatment.

If you have Grade 3 or acne, you can also include the Image Clear Cell Medicated Acne Lotion.  However, because of the Benzoyl Peroxide in the lotion, it can be very drying.

**PRO TIP–  To counteract the drying, you may mix half and half of the medicated acne lotion with the Vital C Anti Aging Hydrating Serum     to reduce inflammation, calm down skin and hydrate the skin.
